Stuffed Collie

Yes you are seeing correctly! This is one of Winnie's FAVORITE toys! and of all things it is a stuffed collie. Winnie will often take her aggression out on it as you can tell, this little toy is missing his eyes and the tip of his nose!!!!! When she plays with this toy I can only imagine that she is thinking it's one of the REAL collies and pretending"SHE IS the BOSS". You can almost her her saying "now TAKE THAT!"as she flips it through the air, then after a good wrestling session she takes her beat up little collie toy on the couch with her, curls up and falls asleep. This is just ANOTHER one of Winnies entertaining moments. Bulldogs are too funny!!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day

           Tonight as Kenneth and I prepared Valentine's Day cards for his class celebration tomorrow in school, we noticed that Winnie was very intrigued by this whole process! She watched every move we made and seemed to take mental notes. I have never seen an animal so fascinated by something. After  about an hour of just staring, watching and sniffing all the little cards, I realized what it was about this project that fascinating her...........she loved the little heart stickers that Kenneth would seal each card with!!!!

            She would try to steal the entire pack of them and hide them in the couch, when all of a sudden, Kenneth and I looked over at her, she managed to place a little heart sticker on her  nose. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. I guess she wanted to send a Valentine's card too.

           Winnie is quite the little comedian, everyday she cracks up the entire family.

Winnie is now 8 months old. She is very entertaining,comical,smart, and stubborn!

Remember the battle between Winnie and the praying Mantis? I think we have to stay tuned until summer, apparently, praying Mantis's disappear in the cold months, so right now it is "out of sight, out of mind".

3 weeks ago Winnie went to her very first all breed dog show, she finally got to see other Bulldogs, as Shaun says "Winnie was one amongst her people". She realized why she has a short nose, round body, short hair, snores, has a HORRIBLE under bite and no tail........I'm an English Bulldog!!! not a Collie.

After 1 long month, Winnie has chosen her FAVORITE Collie!!!!!!! and it looks like "Amy" is the chosen one, poor Amy she is very patient at the constant abuse she endures from Winnie all day. Look closely.....See the Praying Mantis? If you do, meet Winnie's nemesis, The evil little praying mantis that takes it's daily walk across the lawn everyday! Winnie has made it her mission to hunt him down! Everyday it is a battle between insect and canine!!! It is quite interesting and entertaining to see this battle everyday.....I don't know who is more afraid....Winnie or the praying mantis? They both stand their ground in the middle of the lawn and stare each other down. Stay tuned for more episodes of this fierce battle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Those Collies have just a bit too much energy for me!!!" Winnie LOVES all the Collies! she looks forward to playing with them everyday, she has a big advantage when it comes to biting their feet, and uses every opportunity she can to attack them!!! "Peek-a-boo, I see you!" Winnie has been with us for 2 weeks now and is doing great! one of her favorite games to play is "hide n' seek", and she loves to hide in the cat tree!!!
